Plumas Negras
Rooted in the Mexican community of East Salinas, this magical realist play follows three generations of women bound by love, land, and change. As two crows watch over them, their dreams endure across fifty years of transformation.
Design Concept
Hand-drawn layers of stars and nebulae transform the stage into a luminous cosmos, cradling two characters as they dream of their future as immigrants. The media wraps the audience in their hopes and possibilities beneath the vast, glittering sky.
